This troubleshooting chart is your quick solution to common problems when your monitor is not performing properly. If the problem persists, call your monitor dealer for further assistance.

Problem:No Picture
Possible Cause:Is the power cord connected?
A:Connect the power cord.
 
Possible Cause:Is the power switched on?
A:Turn on the power switch.
 
Possible Cause:Is the signal cable properly connected?
A:Connect the signal cable properly and check the connector for bent pins.
 
Possible Cause:Is the monitor in power save mode?
A:Press any key on the keyboard or move the mouse.
A:Verify that your computer has not locked up.

Problem:Picture is unstable
Possible Cause:Is the signal cable properly connected?
A:Connect the signal cable properly and check the connector for bent pins.
 
Possible Cause:Is the scanning frequency outside the acceptable range?
A:Reconfigure graphics board within the range of the monitor.
 
Possible Cause:Are the pin arrangements of the signal connector correct?
A:Use the correct signal cable.

Problem:The display image is not centered, is too small, or is too large.
Possible Cause:Is the scanning frequency outside the acceptable range?
A:Reconfigure graphics board within the range of the monitor. If the frequency range is correct, adjust the position and size controls to the desired image.

Problem:The color of the image on screen is abnormal.
Possible Cause:Are there any magnetic objects nearby?
A:Move the objects away.
 
Possible Cause:Are the pin arrangements of the signal cable correct?
A:Use the correct signal cable.

Problem:The screen is too brignt/dark.
A:Check if the brightness or contrast control is at the appropriate position, not at the Maximum/Minimum.

Problem:I only get 16 colors at 800x600 resolution.
Possible Cause:Is your video card driver installed properly?
